MUSKELYM Guinnea Pig

January 16, 2009 08:04 by Ric Hayman

My wifes friend organised a one day workshop for MUSKELYM and I volunteered to e one of the test clients. MUSKELYM is a Musculo Skeletal Lymphatic Therapy and deals with all types of problems associated with the body and how it works.

On the morning of the workshop, I wondered why I had volunteered. I had loads of work to do and really needed the time to catch up. Anyway, once I was there, I was pleased that I had committed myself to it. Mike Colqhoun, the creator of MUSKELYM did the demo on me. I have suffered for as long as I can remember with a tightness under my left shoulder blade, about half way down, below the inner surface. This is what the class were interested in, hence my selection from the countless people who applied.

There was a comprehensive questionnaire that Mike went through and to me it felt quite thorough, which was a good thing as far as I was concerned. I then had to get changed into my shorts with a towel and sit on the massage bed, ready to be the guinnea pig. Mike felt the area in my shoulder and without being directed went straight to the painful site. He then felt the oposite side of my chest and linked it up with a painful site there and then on to my knee and pointed out that there was an anomoly with the joint just below my knee. I am not a medical person and I cant remember the details, all I know is that the misalignment of my knee jointwas key to the pain in my shoulder.

Low and behold, Mike manipulated my knee joint and the pain in my shoulder went right down. There was still a small ache there, which I expected as the actual pain had been there for a long time. The session was three days ago now and the pain has gone.

Having has a motorcycle accident when I was 17, I had a catalogue of demonstration areas on my body and Mike proceeded to line up the top of my spine, line up my hips and a whole bunch of other stuff. I felt really great and prefectly in line when the session finished.

The MUSKELYM web site is at http://www.muskelym.co.uk/

EFT tapping points

November 12, 2008 15:32 by Ric Hayman

In classic EFT, the tapping sequence starts with rubbing the sore spot. More recently this has changed to tapping the karate chop point instead. There are 14 points in classic EFT and most people only use the first 7 of them. When an issue doesn't shift, I include the others to see if it makes any difference and sometimes it does help.

EB Eyebrow point
SE Side of Eye
UE 1 inch under the centre of the eye
TL Between Top Lip and Nose
BL Bottom Lip and Chin
CB Collar Bone
UA Under Arm
TH Thumbnail bed
IF Index fingernail bed
SF Second Fingernail bed
MF Middle fingernail bed
LF Little fingernail bed
9G Nine Gamut, on back of hand 1 inch behind the knuckles of the ring finger and the little finger

Here is a sheet with the tapping sequence and a diagram on.
Below is how to perform EFT on yourself or another.pdf (118.06 kb)

Life Coach Training

November 9, 2008 07:44 by Ric Hayman

In 2003 a series of events lead me to the conclusion that I wanted to persue a more meaningful career. I decided to look into Life Coaching and after hours of research, I came up with the ideal Life Coach Training Company.  I had already given up working as a full time IT Contractor and had plenty of time on my hands to contact all the major coach training organisations.

I decided on Achievement Specialists and in July 2003, I attended the Life Coaching Handbook Coaching Diploma weekend module. The reason I chose Achievement Specialists was based firstly on reading Curly Martin's book "The Life Coaching Handbook". Secondly on the wealth of knowlege and facts that she freely gives away on her website http://www.achievementspecialists.co.uk and lastly, because Curly Martin took the time out of her busy schedule to talk to me about Life Coaching.

The Weekend workshop was packed with the core requirements of becoming a life coach and there was plenty of hands on practise. The team that Curly had at the time were outstanding and made us all really welcome. After the weekend workshop, I decided that I would like to do it again and luckily Curly makes it possible for delegates to attend again. The criteria is to complete the workbook part of the course, write a 3000 word thesis and get fee paying clients. I satisfied the criteria quickly and attended the weekend again. This was it! I wanted to experience this more!

In one of Curly's modules, she talks about getting speaking engagements to publicise your services. She goes on to say, "What do you do if the organisation has all it's speakers lined up for the next 12 months?" The answer is to put your name down as a person who will step in at short notice. I decided to take that approach with Curly and got my name down as a person who would step in to crew her weekend at short notice. I soon got a call, and then another. After attending a few times, Curly noticed that I was really good at organising the team and dealing with the delegates, so she asked me if I would like to attend all the workshops.

I am now the course director for Achievement Specialists and attend all the Life Coaching Diploma Courses and carry out their EFT Training. There are new courses coming on line in 2009 and I will be involved with them too.

I am really pleased that I chose Achievement Specialists, it has been an incredible journey so far and I am looking forward to the rest of it. If you are thinking of training as a Life Coach and are wondering who to train with, take the time to talk to Curly Martin or me before you make your decision.

The Seven Principles of Huna

October 16, 2008 12:31 by Ric Hayman

A great deal of the things that I am looking into at the moment are all pointing in similar directions and I just thought I would put this here so I can remember it too. In my opinion, this has major similarities to Ho'oponopono. More than just the fact that it came from Hawaii.

EKE The world is what you think it is.

KALA There are no limits. meaning we are all connected. separation is an illusion.

MAKEA Energy flows where attention goes.

MANOUA Now is the time of power.

ALOHA Love pure and simple.

MANA Power comes from within, Creative or Divine.

PONO Effectiveness is the measure of truth.

PSYCH-K

October 14, 2008 16:39 by Ric Hayman

PSYCH-K Book Disappointing I Heard about PSYCH-K from Bruce Lipton's book the biology of belief. He mentions it towards the end of the book and attributes the actual completion of his book to PSYCH-K. Along with the mention is a mention of EFT and other procedures that are capable of bringing about belief change. I was intrigued, so I did a search of the web and found very little about it, except for Robert M. Williams webiste.

My next step was to buy the book "The Missing Peace in your life" from america, because I was unable to find it sold ion the UK. I read the book from cover to cover as soon as it arrived and was really disappointed to find that it said nothing of what PSYCH-K is about. The only positive thing I got from the book is the knowlege that nothing about PSYCH-K is in it. It also talks about Robert came up with the processes as universal inspiration. Nothing, not even a hint or simple part of it was revealed.

I am disappointed with the book and I think that my investigation of PSYCH-K will end there.

I should have read the reviews on Amazon before I bought, there are some bad ones and some really bad ones!

Credit crunch?

October 13, 2008 19:55 by Ric Hayman

I keep hearing people talking about the credit crunch and how it is going to affect them negatively.

How about the upside, I keep asking myself. There is always an upside to a downside.

The upside for small businesses is that they may notice an increase in their client base or turnover, IF THEY FOCUS ON DOING JUST THAT! This could be due to clients that were ready to spend more money with more expensive competitors coming to them. It could be due to them being ready to prospect new clients with a compelling offer or their unique USP and value.

Another thing to make sure of is that the focus is kept on gaining custom and not loosing it. If the focus is doom and gloom and a downturn, then that ensures they will partake in the slump.

If you think you will.... YOU WILL!

Biology of Belief Audio Book

October 10, 2008 19:56 by Ric Hayman
My audio set of the Biology of Belief arrived and within a few hours I had listened to the whole thing. Bruce Lipton makles the subject such easy listening. The book is based on his work as a stem cell scientist and how the cells in the body are all individuals. They all have their own systems that we have as a whole and they change depending upon the perception of their environment.

This is an outstanding book and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in the quantum happenings in our universe.

EFT for Fertility

October 5, 2008 17:07 by Ric Hayman

Having recently been asked if I do EFT for fertility, I replied with my normal response, which is, "Let us do it and see what comes up."

I am really glad that I explored this particular topic because I was amazed at the amount of interesting things that came from this young lady's inability to go full term with a pregnancy. There were issues ranging from "I am not worthy" to a voice of her mother in her mind telling her that she was not good enough. We have now completed 4 sessions on this and they all take place over the phone. I have noticed that she has changed in a big way throughout her life and I am now hoping that she will get the child that she has longed for and her unconscious mind has managed to block.

If you are a person in a similar situation. I would definitely recommend EFT as an additional course of action. We don't really know if the mind blocks things like this and it could be so. I know that if my wife was in a similar circumstance, I would welcome anything that may move us forward.

Biology of Belief

September 23, 2008 10:12 by Ric Hayman

At the September Achievement Specialists Lifecoach Training weekend, I had dinner with the delegates on the Friday evening as usual. We were discussing the book 'The Holographic Universe' by Michael Talbot. Steve, one of the delegates mentioned a book by Bruce Lipton called 'Biology or Belief'. He said that it was really worth a read and from the discussion that followed, I decided that I really needed to read it.

The really weird thing is.... When I got home, I couldn't find the piece of paper that I wrote down the title and author's name on. I knew that it was something to do with biology and belief, so I opened up Amazon and what was in the first position on the first row? The Biology of Belief by Bruce Lipton! I had never searched for that book nor heard of it even. Anyway, another coincidence?

I managed to watch some Bruce Lipton videos on YouTube and the content looks excellent.

I have ordered it now on CD, so watch this space.

Fear of heights

July 14, 2008 17:16 by Ric Hayman

I am the course director for Achievement Specialists and as a result, I attend all their workshops. I was at a weekend Life Coach Training workshop in Bournemouth recently and I present an optional "Introduction to EFT" on the Saturday evening. The introduction is just a 40 minute taster of EFT where I tell people what it is, how to do it and then we do a general session on it.

I was speaking to one of the delegates from the course a few days later about coaching. She said, "Ric, you will be pleased to know that I have just climbed up a ladder and cleaned my guttering." "Well done!" I exclaimed. That is one of my standard replies by the way. I sat there thinking that there must be a purpose for her sharing that with me.... A few minutes later, Chris shared with me that fear of heights was what she had been working on in the general session during the EFT Taster. For those of you that know about EFT, one of the key things is to be specific in order to shift issues. Chris had an issue with fear of heights and managed to clear it in 5 minutes using two rounds of EFT working on 'This problem' completely general. Well done Chris. If you are ever in the neighborhood, I have a ladder in my garage and my guttering MUST need a clean!
